- What is Hammerite Metal Finish?
- Hammerite Metal Finish is a corrosion resistant decorative coating which provides highly
durable protection for all ferrous and non-ferrous metals.
It is based on synthetic
resins, fast drying solvents and when fully cured resists all common building materials
and splashing by dilute acids/alkalis, petrol and diesel.
- How does Hammerite Metal Finish work?
- Hammerite Metal Finish is quick drying and capable of multi-coat application in a few
hours. The specially selected resins impart a gloss or satin finish which sheds water and
resists dirt pick up. Hammerite Metal Finish also contains heat hardened glass flakes
which leaf together as the paint dries to provide a highly impermeable barrier to
moisture. Hammerite Metal Finish has excellent wetting properties making it tolerant to
poorly prepared ferrous surfaces.
